Android running on a real touchscreen cellphone shown by Andy Rubin
While i was surfing around the net looking for new interesting things about android i just found a new video on www.blip.tv of an android device with a new demo of the performance of the android OS which shows a map application and a game demo with quake! i was quite impressed of the speed of the system because as andy said in the video, its just a 300mhz cpu in it, so its half of the iphone cpu. It would be cool if they would demonstrate android on the same hardware as the iphone to show the power of android compared to the iphone “bsd osx whatever OS”. In the last days i was testing some iphones at the office. Its really quite cool to use the iphone and its nice eye candy widgets, BUT i was disappointed that i crashed one easily only by tipping/touching around a little bit to fast on the screen. So if any android developers read this(i hope they do), do everything you can , to make android better than the iphone. If you wanna have a look at the new video of android on a real mobile device, have a look here at blip.tv
